the sorrows of ammonium

Scariest novels. (via supergee) (My vote would go to Hell House or The Haunting of Hill House--but the truly scariest thing i ever read was nonfiction, The Hot Zone. And then The Long Emergency came along...)

Suddenly it strikes me: i may have already had that thought before.

Stonehenge skyscape.

"Where lawless gluttons riot, mirth's a crime;
The luscious wines, dishonour'd, lose their taste;
The song is noise, and impious is the feast." --Pope's Odyssey, II.

"The 1% have only given us two options as they squeeze the world to its last drop: respond with love that is desperately radical or hate that is desperately regressive."
